Terpenes are naturally occurring aromatic compounds found in cannabis and many other plants.

“Hydro” is one of the most commonly used terms in the cannabis industry, but it is often misunderstood.
Many people assume that Hydro refers exclusively to cannabis grown in water-based systems such as Deep Water Culture (DWC). In reality, the term is much broader and generally refers to cannabis grown in any soilless medium. This includes coco peat, one of the most popular cultivation mediums used by commercial growers today.
Although coco peat looks similar to soil, it is a sterile growing medium that relies on nutrient solutions in much the same way as traditional hydroponic systems.
Does Hydro Mean Better Quality?
Not necessarily.
While many premium indoor growers use hydroponic or coco-based systems, the growing medium alone does not determine the quality of the final flower. Some of the finest cannabis in the world is grown in living organic soil, while some hydroponic flower may fall short of premium standards.

Every batch is evaluated on its own merits.
If a hydro-grown flower meets our premium standards, it will be classified accordingly. If it falls below the expected quality level for that category, it may be downgraded to a more appropriate category or not offered for sale at all.
Our goal is simple: honest classification, fair pricing, and consistent quality, regardless of how the flower was grown.
The cannabis industry in South Africa remains largely unregulated, which means quality standards can vary significantly from one supplier to another. Unfortunately, this sometimes leads to products being inaccurately labeled, with greenhouse flower marketed as indoor, or outdoor flower sold as greenhouse.
